More CEL Codes
Well driving from the mall, my speed gauge automatically quit on me and right after that the CEL came on so of course when I checked the codes I got first off out of 4: P0500 Speed Sensor, Now is that in the cluster itself because Tomorrow I am swapping in an EX cluster so I can have a tach so will that fix that?
Also I got code P1298 Control Fuel Air metering, Please explain this one?
And Codes P0135 o2 sensor heart circuit Band 1 Sensor 1, and code P0141 Band 1 sensor 2. I already replaced both of my o2 sensors with quality $70 ones so I don't understand this either, please help.

With the power of Google I found out that on the P0500 Speed sensor I need to replace the wiring or remove the VSS from Tranny and clean it maybe?
P1298 is weirdest. Something about my EDL or something in fuse box being shot and to replace it or check the wire near the intake manifold under the car?
And the 02 sensor problems pretty much mean both are shot, but WTF I replaced both of them already WHY!?

Would this link solve my first 2 codes because on my way home after the CEL light came on my battery died and I replaced it at Walmart and in this article it says Dead battery and Speeometer dies, both what I had!?

Speed sensor and both O2 sensor codes at the same time is classic fuse 15. The wires on the back of the engine get frayed on the intake manifold bracket. When they short out to ground, fuse #15 blows and then the sensors lose their 12 volt power. This was a design flaw in the 1996 to 2000 models.

So you think that link that I posted if I do all that it says, replace the fuse and wrap the wires so they don't rub out that all will be fixed? Also does that cause the Speedometer to stop working as well?

Alright so I found the wires and found the spots where it was grounding out, I covered and wrapped everything and cleared the CEL. Now driving down the road the speedometer was still not working and the CEL came back on. After a little more driving the speedometer started to work and didn't stop. So Im guessing I fixed the problem with my first code, and the last 2 with the O2 sensor, but what about the second code I listed above?
And on my second test run before so I once again cleared the CEL by removing the back up radio fuse for a few minutes then replaceing it. So on my second test drive I went for a 10 minute spin. For the first 1:30 the Speedometer didn't work and for the rest of the drive it did not so once again both times it was like a delayed reaction for it to work, but the good news is the CEL never came on ANSWERS!?
