Question motor swap for 90 civic

k i have been checking all over for an answer and yet to get one so here goes:will a d16a6 motor bolt up retaining my wiring harness from a d15b1 with no problems

You will need to wire for multiport fuel injection...

if you use the d16a6 with its manifold then you will need to do a dpfi to mpfi.
your harness only has 2 fuel injectors. the d16a6 has 4. you will also need a 88-91 si ecu pm6

thanks for info but now what motor needs no wiring or any mods that will do better than the pos d15b1?

nothing with out the mpfi conversion. its not really the motors fault its the intake manifold thats where the pos comes in. if/when you do the conversion you will see a big difference.

so when not if i do the conversion are there plenty of upgrades for the motor and will the tranny line up with what i have. its a 5 spd and i have the 4 spd and its coming out of a 91 crx.
