My Civic 02 wont go in gear properly

Default My Civic 02 wont go in gear properly

Hi I have a 2002 civic 1.4 and have just had the bearings in the gearbox replaced i put the gearbox back in the car and bled the clutch. the car is still on axle stands but when i try to put the car in gear while i have my foot on the brakes it wont go in. But when i try with out the brakes on it will go in but not easy and the speedo stars showing a reading any ideas any one it driving me crazy

Clutch is not working. Bleed it some more. Or maybe it is put together wrong. You could have someone push the pedal while you watch if the lever on the transmission moves.

Thanks for getting back to me the lever seems to move ok would it still be air in the system even if the lever moves.
