my new ride
ok i bought a 1989 honda civic si HB, $2400 very nice car looks good interior good body good guy put on a CF hood, new struts all the way around, alarm system with remote start, rear gsr disk brakes, very nice exhaust (not super loud done right not str8 pipe) he put a d15b vtec (130hp stock) ,brand new k&n filter and pipe, motors from japan has new timing belt and water pump, new head gasket, the car is absolutely in great condition body has 135k miles,
So i have 2 questions : 1st i wanna lift the car a lil bit its WAY too low
2nd my buddi was tryin to tell me its a d15b block with d16 vtec head and i told him the guy said he imported it from japan
so how can i tell the difference in the head? and also how do i tell the difference in the d15b (130hp) or the JDM b15d (also 130hp but with stage 3 vtec(says wiki) )?
and also any tips on how to raise the adjustable struts and if the front should be a little lower than back or not and how i can tell if its correct and all sides are even (just count the threads?) but even if the threads are all even could it still not be correct? THANKS ILL GET U GUYS SOME PICS

So for adjusting ride height, I'm guessing by you saying the threads you have adjustable coilovers. Lots of people count threads to get the same height although front and rear don't have to be the same because there is a different amount of weight over them. Other than that its basically guess and check.
For your engine, look just to the left of the header, there it will tell you what block you have. Same for the head look and you will see numbers.
