Napa Brake Pads Size
I have a 2001 EX Sedan. I just bought Napa SS-7573X Ceramic Pads. They are too thick. I just now noticed that the back of the pads have SS 5555 FF on them. Does anyone know if these numbers should match or have had trouble fitting Napa pads?
Thanks Ray |
Did you compress your calipers? The easiest thing is call the NAPA Store you bought them from. I run NAPA Parts all the time.

When I had a Porsche 924, the same thing happened on pads I got from NAPA. I think they were called like NAPA Gold or something. With piston pushed all the way in the new pads were just too thick on both sides, left and right. So what I did was kinda crazy.
Since there was some meat left on old pads, I mixed old one and new one on each sides, and run till next oil change. By the time for next oil change, the new pads were worn enough to accept another set of new pads, which were supposed to go on at the same time with first two pads. Get it? |
Thanks. I think it's me. I just learned that there is a way to open out the outside of the caliper. There are two bolts on the back of the caliper. I will try that tonight before anything else.
Thanks again |
Worked. The two bolts with the rubber boots, when loosened, gave me the room I needed.
Thanks, Ray |
