Default Need help fixing drivers door window regulator

When I roll up my power window(driver's side) it goes up all the way and down all the way. Problem is when it goes to the very top something skips or gets loose and the window drops down about 1/6" inch. I can roll it back up and it'll do the same thing. It only happens when it reaches the very top.

So I just need to know how to get to the regulator, if it's not too hard to tighten up the brackets that attach to the window, which I'm assuming is loose. If any of you have had this problem please let me know what is wrong and what needs to be fixed. I'd rather try to do it myself than spend money at some place to overcharge me to fix it.

to get to the regulator just take off the door panel
and there should be about 10mm bolts 8 i think..
but roll your window down until you can see the 2 bolts for the window 1 on each side and take out the window first..
then take out the regulator and just look if everything is in check...

I use a razor blade to cut carefully through the sealing material that attaches the plastic shield to the door. When done making window repairs, the old sealing material can be re-used to reattach the plastic shield. Simply re-align the sealant bead on the door and plastic shield and press down firmly along the bead. The plastic shield should reattach.

If you don't find any loose bolts, the last tooth on the crescent gear is probably stripped-- you need a new regulator.
