I agree with your focus on the Yel/Grn wire that runs between the igniter and ECU. As you mention, the wire is Yel/Grn at the distributor and changes to Red/Grn at the ECU. In addition, at the ECU, the Red/Grn wire branches to two separate pins of the ECU. You need to check both ends.

The tests below are done with the Yel/Grn wire disconnected from the igniter and with the ECU connectors disconnected.

1) Check for wire continuity from the Yel/Grn end to each of the two Red/Grn ends.

2) Check for the lack of continuity to ground from the Yel/Grn end and from the Red/Grn ends.

If either test above fails, then the Yel/Grn wire is bad and represents the cause of your no-spark problem.

Nice. How did you figure it out?

I am surprised, though, that the cut distributor sensor wires did not throw a CEL??

Power problem: Check your ignition timing with a timing gun. You may have rotated the distributor during your work. Alternatively, the timing belt was installed with the cam and crank one tooth out of synchrony from TDC1.

Is the CEL ON?

Have you checked the ignition timing with a timing gun?

Given that the O2 sensor is dead, the cat may be clogged and destroyed.
