Hey Guys,
My 04 civic coupe got severe water damage in the trunk. Anyways i stripped out the rubber underlayment with a heat gun.

1. What's the purpose of the rubber underlayment ?
2. Where can i get it to buy ?

I also got water damages in the cabin under the carpet, the same rubber membrane is under it with rust. I about pull it out, is this structural in any way?


I swear that the guys who run the dealership in mississauga is a bunch of morons, they are not mechanically incline.
