Default new fuel filter stopped hesitation 1996

I buy many parts from Advance Auto. A couple weeks ago I was sent an email my car was due for a fuel filter. I never thought about that before. I bought the car with 90,000 miles and I am at 195,000. probably the original filter. For $10 I bought a WIX and installed it.
I had grown accustom to the hesitation and did not realize I needed the fuel filter.
Just posting to those that may have a hesitation...it may be the filter.

Oh, and I blew in the old one and it was in fact restricted.

thanks for reading.

You may want to check for crud in the gas tank. Let it get nearly empty then drive the back of the car up on ramps and take the drain plug out, see what comes out.

Default tank drain plug.

I learned something today. I did not know my Civic had a Fuel Tank Drain Plug.
That is another reason I think Honda's are the best machines in the world.

Nice! I have never done something like this! I might give it a shot!
