Hey guys.. just wanted to introduce myself. I just picked up an 01 4dr Civic EX. It had 104k miles on it but the body is clean. No dings dents or scratches...

Question thoughseeing as how this is my first Civic. For those of you with a 4dr EX. What RPM should I be at when I'm cruising in 5th at 60mph? Mine seems a bit high. At 60mph my RPM sits right at 3k.

That sounds about right for a honda :)

When I go 60 in my 01 ex coupe I sit at about 2700. 70 mph is 3k for me.

In my 1992 LX Coupe (auto, for comparison), 2500 rpm at 60 mph, 3000 rpm at 65 mph.

Sounds like they still gear the 4 door a little lower than the coupe because it's a heavier car. That was definitely the case in '91.

man... that seems so high... ah well.. I guess I'm just now used to a Honda. Thanks for the quick responses guys. Since I have you guy's attention.. .can anyone tell me what size component speakers I have in there? The system sounds like ****. LOL...

wow i'm surprised! my auto does 3000 rpms (according to the tach WHICH IS AWEFUL AND OFF!) at 60 (VAFC says its around 2500 - 2700 rpms) but at 70 to 80 mph i'm doing 4000 rpms lol(according to the stock tach)

maaaaaaaaaaan.. you guys should be driving at 5 rpms + in every gear haha. if you dont drive your car hard and if u have boost! then you dont deserve all that love from your car and all the boost its supposed to give haha
