Default new member with a few problems

hi, everyone, i am new to the forum and am looking forward to becoming an active member.
i have a few problems i would like to get some advise on. first of all, yesterday when i was driving home from work, i went to put my powerwindow down and it went down just fine. when i went to put it back up nothing would happen. i checked the other side and it was fine. i also check all of the fuses under the dash and the were good to. is there any other fuses that would i would have missed under the hood or could it be a bad switch. it had good speed before it stop working. also i noticed when ipush the switch the dome lightdoesnt dim, like when i push it for the passenger side.

my next problem is with the trans. sometimes when its first started i havetrouble getting it in 1st or 2nd and when i put it in reverse it is reallyhas a really loud gear whine. abnormally loud. could it bethat thefluid is low. thanks in advance for the help.

For the reverse noise, if its not horrible, then you're okay. Honda's are known for having a good amount of noise in reverse.

As for the window issue, is the window rolled all the way down? If not, will it still roll down and just not up? YOu may need to pull your door panel off, and take a look inside the door to see if its off the track

try synchromesh in the tranny, should quiet it down and make the shifting smoother.

not for sure how all that works (to get it up).
but think i would call a local junk yard for a switch; just dont tell them how much it costs at the dealer (course, in this internet age, they should be able to find out pretty fast (unless it is one without computers))

that must be a set with 2 switches, i guess.
cant think of any - seems there would be a web based place - might think of one later.
in the mean time, you could post over here:
