New motor?

so i need a new motor in my 97 ek. it dont matter what it is but cant afford a b series yet

but i got offered a d15 with 70k miles for $150. good motor? if not whats the best d series motor i can buy?

You are in PA? You "legally" cannot put in a motor which is older than the chassis. The best motor you can get, while staying legal (if you care) would probably be the D16y8.

ya im in pa and where i live no emissions so im not limited. so stick with the D16Y8 or is there something better?

As far as I know, D16Y8 is the best you can get (as far as the D series go) the Y7 version is non-vtec.

ok cool. so do i want the jdm or American version. the duel vtec solenoid or the single?
