I just rebuilt my mini me swap. Its my first rebuild. I have a y8 block with a z6 head. I have all y8 parts tho it overugh. Including a y8 distributor that i miraculously fit onto my z6 head when all ive heard is it cant be dont it doesnt fit. Well it does. But im not getting any spark. And i know for a facrmt the spark plugs are good. Also when i turn it over it has great compression, everything turns fine but i cant smell or see any gas getting to the motor. I drained the gas out of the tank about a year ago right after it blew up. And just now got everything rebuilt. Everything i have hooked up seems to be proper. I was wondering if anyone had any idea why the distributor(installed correctly) isnt sparking any plugs and why im not getting gas. I have seafoam and lucas fuel cleaner but havent used any of it yet. Should i or shouldnt i? Do i need to replace fuel lines? Buy z6 distributor? Helpppp

 

I am getting fuel now. No spark still. Tried everythung. Does the y8 distributor even work for the z6 head? I dont see why it would make a difference if it plugs up perfect and bolts right on

 

I know that obd1 uses camshaft position sensor, but i have the obd2 wire harness. Does it make a difference as to why its not sparking at all? Does it have anything to do with the y8 dizzy on the z6 head? When i turn the ignition to on, i probe the connector going TO the distributor FROM the car and it shows positive so i know theres current. I bought abrand new battery too so thats not it.
