OBDII P0715

Hi,
Check Engine Lamp came on last week in my 97 Civic EX, I took it to dealer this week trying to make use of my extended Emission warranty.
But they say the code P0715 is not an emission related problem and hence my extended warranty will not cover it.
They suggested to do following 3 in order:
Transmission refill 80$
Replace transmission linear Solenoid 266$
Replace transmission 4300$

Any suggestins, what should I do?

Thanks

Here is what I found out using my FSM for the 96-98 civic.

See the following photo labeled the P0175 code:

3 Attachment(s)
It's an automatic transmission trouble code. Here's what the manual says:

Attachment 26979

Attachment 26980

Attachment 26981

Does any of these repairs come under Emission warranty as I got a letter from HOnda sometime back saying that Federal Emission Warranty for my car is increased to 15 years and anyting covered under Emission Warranty will be diagnosed/repaired free of cost.

Can I get a dealer to fix it under warranty?

Based on the list you posted, possibly so.

As per the troubleshotting chart posted it seems to be a problem with the mainshaft speed sensor and it seems to be covered by extended warranty.
So i will go to delaer and ask again if it can be fixed under warranty but I doubt so as they gave me wrong info earlier something realted to Linear Solnoid on trnasmission

You may have a better chance with the dealer now that you have more detailed information. Print out all relevant information and bring it with you.
