Default OEM or aftermarket shock absorbers?

I want to replace the front shocks on my stock 97 DX. I would prefer to retain a stock ride, but Majestic Honda wants $93 per shock.

Is there a good aftermarket shock that would preserve the stock ride for less money?

Or should I buy the OEM shocks?

The most popular OE replacement shock would probably be the KYB GR2. Another good alternative is the Tokico HP shock. Both can be had under the price of an OE shock.

Just a super fast google search. Might be able to find better prices elsewhere.

Thanks. I'll definitely pursue the leads you have given me.
