Default oil leak 1990 DX

punisher,mk, 94hatchBack helped on my other topic,Thanks!!

I wanted to ask for help if you know how to find and stop my oil leak.

The spark plugs go way down to the top of the head and the valve cover is at the top. The plug cylinder 2nd from the drivers side fills up about an inch with oil. I re-tightened the valve cover bolts, which didn't help. The car goes through oil fast though it is not being burned. Ther's several drips all over under the motor carriage. I was hoping for a shove toward fixing the leak.

There are seals for the spark plug tubes inside the valve cover. Replacing those should fix the leak.

Thanks again Ron that is a very helpful illustration. Schucks/O'Reilly has a set of "spark plug tube seals" for $10 for four and the whole valve cover gasket set for $28.00 I am kinda thinking that even if I end up waiting until late this month to do it I should go with the entire set. Good idea?

If your oil level is going down it must be being lost somewhere else, because it doesn't take much to fill up the spark plug tube. Check for leaks to the outside that drip on the road.
