PCV Valve

Default PCV Valve

where is that thing? i drive a 97 Civic Ex. Is it underneath near the car - if that is where its at, i am sure its a pain to get to....

PCV should be on the top of the engine by the Valve cover. Check around the intake many and look for the vacuum hose that connects the PCV valve to the intake/fresh air intake.

If you follow the hose that goes down through the intake manifold you will find it under that(underneath the intake). It is probably easier to see through the bottom. Right above the oil filter.

just put an engine in my 97 & happened to stumble across it --not easy to get to --under the intake manifold theres a black breather box behind a big *** wire harness --i did my when the enine was out --it a tight sqeeze[sm=signs003.gif]

i pulled mine out by lifting the vehicle and removeing the oil filter. then i was able to pop it out.
