the si cluster probably has slot for cruise control which is green i believe, since you have a dx which doesn't have cruise control, yours doesn't have a harness for cruise control (at least this applies to 6th gens, not too sure on 5th gens though)

I never thought of that. I have an EX so I have cruise control and the green plug. Sweet.

Nice to know. I was wondering what the green plug on mine was for.

When you plug in an EX cluster to a DX, does the tach work, or do you have to do wiring for the tach?

The tachometer pickup is wiring into ALL honda civic models, if you get a cluster with tach, and hook it up, then it will work, it's as simple as that.
