Default possible fuel pump failure?

Got into my car today. Tried to start it, wouldn't start. Tried it again, didn't hear the "humming" associated with the fuel pump. Bad fuel pump? Is there a fuse or relay I'm not finding that could be bad?

Is the ECU LED blinking a trouble code?

Check whether fuses 37 (hood), 34 (hood), or 14 (dash) is blown. If fine, the main relay (on the left driver's side) may be bad:

can't find the ecu. when you said under the passenger carpet in a different topic, did you mean literally under the carpet? so I'd have to pull it up?

Sorry I keep asking the same q's over and over. Cars are not part of my skillset. I can take care of some things but most of it is harder than reading russian...

Ok, found it. I felt like a dolt when I finally figured it out. Anyway, the led blinks once as I turn the key from acc to on, and once when I turn the key back off.

And I checked the three fuses you mentioned. All intact.

No trouble code. just once when I turn the car on and once when I turn it off. If it was showing a trouble code, it would blink repeatedly in sequence according to the trouble code, correct?

Okay, no trouble codes and the main relay fuses are fine.

Turn the key to ON(II) and listen for the low humming noise of the fuel pump priming in the rear (gas tank) for 2 seconds. It won't be very loud. Do you hear it?

No sound. Check it twice while inside the car, doors closed, no radio.

Do steps 9 and 10 in the diagram. if you hear the fuel pump run, then replace the main relay (common problem).

The diagram makes it look relatively easy to test and replace, if need be. I'll go through it tomorrow.

Thank you so much for all the help.
