Im having a problem with my 2001 honda civic door locks they will not work with my remote and will not work with the car off manually or with remote all i can do is lock it with my key. However they will work with the car running and the doors shut


any ideas?

The remote works with the car running but not when the car is off?

 

the remote dont work at all the only time i can get the door to lock is with the door shut and the ignition in the on position

 

does the remote need some new batteries??</P>

 

dont need batteries and it dont unlock manually either unless the door is shut and the key is on

 

You changed the factory deck recently?

 

i havent changed the deck recently but i have changed it i did lose power to the factory hot wire to the stereo is that related somehow

 

prob need to reprogram the remotes to the new radio then

actually you will have to. ide bet on it

 

it shouldnt have any thing to do with the radio the locks dont even work manually there is no voltage on the lock switch unless the key is on
