Power window help please!

I have a 97 Civic and the drivers side power window will run up to about 1 inch of being all the way up and then it seems to start slipping and bouncing and will not go all the way up i can physically pull it up but the window will not go all the way up on its own. any diagnosis will be greatly appreciated. Thanks David

SOunds like the regulator. Same thing happened to my 97. I ended up jerry-rigging a fix. Where the regulator pivots on itself, there are teeth and some of those teeth are probably missing from wear and its allowing the regulator to pivot on the wrong axis. Because of this the window isnt going up the right track and causes the clicking noise that you hear.

That is exactly what it sounds like, is that pain in the a__ repair

Its not too much. I just watched a video on youtube on how to remove the reuglator for an accord or something. Its relatively the same. And once you get it out youll see whats going wrong. And what i did is i drilled a hole through the center of the piece that holds the two pieces together and put a nut and a bold with relatively big washers through it to make sure there is pressure keeping the two pieces together and on the right track

or you can replace the window regulator which is what I did.
