question about auto transmission 96 civic ex

i just got my 96 civic and transmission shift late from 1 to 2 gear around 3000 rpm ,2 to 3rd around 2800 and 3 to 4 around 2200 at lightly pressing on gas.
is it normal ?

This seems normal. The Civic engine produces practically no horsepower below 2000 rpm, it's built to spin.
