quick question...
lol okay...that was probably a stupid question:P ...... do these chips do any damage to the engine? how much can i really get out of it? i have a D16Y8 engine
should i invest in a chip? right now i just have a cold air intake and full cat back exhaust and i am planning on picking up a new 4-2-1 header and skunk 2 intake manifold

apparently i cannot chip my motor anyway... mine is the ONLY motor that can not be chipped D16Y8 - P2P (comes in an obd2 and obd2b variety) and obd2 cannot be chipped apparently!!!! whats wrong with d engines?....... motor swaps are expansive! lol

You can easily convert your car to OBD-1 and run a chipped p28 ecu. But IMO it's pointless unless you're going F/I.
Also, to clarify, the "racing chips" you typically see on ebay are junk! You need to go with something name brand like Spoon, Skunk2, etc.. Just remember on ebay, if it sounds too good to be true, it is.
