radio code help

Default radio code help

hi, i have a 2000 civic with orig cd player and replace the battery and the code pop up .i so in my glove box and i found this:M98M326113.i asume the code is the last 5 numbers but when i pu it said error 1 .
whta can i do .

This is a very good question...

There is usually a piece of paper with just the 5 digit code. If you have the manual that came with the car, look through it page by page and see if someone stuck it in there between some of the pages.

I had that problem before, and I didn't have any record of the code anywhere, so I just bought an aftermarket cd player and installed it myself. Solved that problem.

Otherwise, I don't know if you can go to the dealership and have them fix that, or if they can pull up the code from the VIN, or what.

Go to your local dealer if you provide them the serial number behind the head unit they will give you the CODE...I done this before, But more likely they won't give you the code on the phone. Give them a call
