I have a 1990 1.4 gl 16v civic, for some reason below 2000 rpm the engine makes a rattling noise. Above 2000 rpm it sounds perfectly
fine, can anyone help !

 

Do you have any exhaust work done? Right when I got the first part of my exhaust system bolted on, I noticed that there was a rattling noise at a certian RPM, and it turned out that it was just one of the metal hangers from the muffler hitting on the loop hole that's welded on the bottom of the car. So I guess you can check that. Where from the engine?
