Hi peeps,

ive got a 96 coupe and when cornering at a medium speed the rear wheels start making a clicking noise and the back end wants to swing out.... has anyone had similar problems and does anyone know what the problem might be??

RE: REAR SUSPENSION ISSUES

check lug nuts and if that's not it,

did you mess with your rear suspension at all?

the nuts are fine.... however the car has been dropped 30mm on spax springs.... could it be that?

RE: REAR SUSPENSION ISSUES

With the car being dropped, if it was dropped wrong, there could be a lot of stress on the bearings and joints. It could also be that when it was dropped, either a shock went out, or the stock shocks were used again. Usually when dropping a car, shorter shocks would be used. It could be a lot of different problems. Get a friend and go to the back of the car, with both of you on each side, try to depress the suspension, you might be able to hear the noise again and get a better idea of where the noise is coming from.

put the rear of the car up on jack stands and wiggle the wheels to see if the bearings have a lot of play from being worn, also check and make sure nothing broke, or loose
