Reasonable quote ?
2004 Civic Sedan
102 000 Km
These were the quotes from the honda dealer:
- Replacement of Timing Belt/Water Pump change: 500 $
- Replacement of transmission bearing/Support bearing: approx 1000 $
- Oil Pan: 950 $
The oil pan is apparently leaking (never saw any sign of it), but anyway the price seems excessive to me ?

It really depends on the shops hourly rate. Some charge $60 while others charge $80 an hour. From that they get the blue book maintanance allocation chart and multiple it by the hourly rate. I think it is high considering you can do it yourself for about $90 for the pan gasket.
Looks like a complete rip off to me. At 2004 you should start looking for a reputable independent shop or learning how to do some of this work yourself.
I mean, $950 for an oil pan gasket is absolutely ludicrus. That's a VACATION'S worth of money for something that takes maybe an hour to do.
Timing belt looks one or two hundred low.
What transmission bearing are they changing?
