Question Refill Transmission Oil via dipstick tube?

Going to change my transmission oil this weekend. 2000 Civic DX, auto.

I have no question about draining and using the correct Honda Oil. My question is about refilling. Can I just pour the oil into the tube I use to check the transmission fluid level instead of removing the fill plug?

Use the fill plug. It's pretty much impossible to over-fill your transmission that way.

thanks for the response. I just figured I'd replace the same amount of fluid via the dipstick tube as I drained. Searching for help and information it seems a little hard to reach the filler plug or you have to buy a hose and get it to the filler hole. I just thought it would be easier to replace via the dipstick tube.

Any other info or help is appreciated.

As you can see in the diagram, refilling fluid through the dipstick tube is the correct way.
