Default Remote Locks No Longer Work =[

Okay so back in july of 2007 i got an aftermarket radio for my civic. They recessed the old radio back in the dash so that the remote locks would still work. they worked until around december of 2007 when they started to just not work at random times. The ratio to times that it didnt work to times it did work slowly started getting bigger until it finally took a **** on me around march. Does anyone know what could have caused it? and i did try changing battery. tia

loose wires on the back of the old radio probably. whatever they did to splice the wires or whatever, it probably is coming loose from its wire nut or whatever. take it to whoever did your stereo and have them take a look at the work they did to keep the remote locks working.

i'd just get back there where the old radio is and look for wires that look like they've been tampered with, and see if they're loose anywhere.

I installed it and decided I liked the stock shape better, so I bought a B&M Leather shift **** that is shaped like the stock one.
