just want to know how much to retard my timing on a D16Z6 im running 7 psi boost a 12:1 fmu walbro fuel pump. ive been told its 1 degrees per psi. also am i right in saying that all i have to do is undo the two bolts holding the distributer on to the engine and turn it 7 degrees. but which way? top of the distributer towards the front or the rear of the car?

 

I believe to your left is retard(top to the rear).

 

1) There are three bolts on the dizzy, at least there SHOULD be

2) FMUs are crap, ditch it and get real tuning before you blow something up

3) Do some major research on the topic of boost, or you WILL blow your motor.

just went to retard my timing it seems that it is already retarded all the way are you sure im supposed to turn it that way (top of dist to the rear). it will go the other way. what happens when i do that?
