Default Reverse glow gauge wiring

I just bought a 1992 Civic CX and the previous owner already had the guages installed and said the lights worked on them. Well he has the wires disconnected to the left of the steering column and a cheap on/off button attached near the steering wheel.
Well, when I connected the wires and pushed the on/off button nothing happened. So I was wondering how I can go about making them glow.
If anyone could give me some wiring instructions, I would greatly appreciate that.

Your best bet is to find out the manufacturer and contact them. Better to take the time and investigate than starting a fire under your dash.

if they're ebay reverse glow gauges those tend to burn out REALLY quick, so they might already be burnt out. Just make sure its grounded good and its getting power and if they're still not getting power, they're probably burned out. A replacement set can be boguht for about $15 on ebay, or go to www.speedhut.com to get some custom ones of your own. good luck

So do I have to take off the Dash and gauge cluster to get ahold of those wires? First timer here maybe you could give me a little description, I would appreciate it very much.
Thanks

How would I know if they are burnt out or not?
