reverse lights/braking lights dont work?
hey guys. about a month ago, my reverse lights just stopped working all of a sudden. on the same night, the turning signal on the rear passenger side stopped working too, and the front passenger one blinks fast. then about 2 days ago, my brake lights stopped working. i'm not really sure whats going on here. all of the lights are fine, none are blown, and the wiring isn't unplugged or anything. does anybody have an idea as to what my problem might be? my car is a 95 with about 170k miles on the chassis. about 2k miles ago, i had an engine swap to a b16, but everything was working after the swap, so i dont know. thanks guys!

i know this may sound simple, you may have already checked it, but didn't mention it. did you check the fuses? that would have been my first look.

yeah, the fuses are all fine. i still havent figured out what the problem is. do you guys think i should take it to a honda dealer?

RE: reverse lights/braking lights dont work?
think they charge by the hour for troubleshooting.
what luck though. think i would tackle them as all separate. turn signal - should be a turn signal breaker unit. maybe that. brake lights - there is a switch under the dash that connects to the pedal. when you push the brake pedal in, the arm (i think) allows a switch to go out that completes that circuit. it is adjustable. that switch is probably out. reverse lights - standard or automatic ?? |
RE: reverse lights/braking lights dont work?
well, i got the brake lights and the turn signal to work. now its just down to the reverse lights. and its a 5 speed
