Rotten egg smell! Help please!

I've got a rotten egg smell coming from my vents. I've been told it may be my battery or my catalytic converter has gone bad. Any help would be awesome.

unfamiliar with the catalytic converter, but u can eliminate half of your troubles by checking the battery and it will be easy to notice if any of the acid is leaking. do you have any small animals under your hood? those have a tendency of smelling bad if left alone for long enough

If you find the smell is coming from the battery, that usually means the alternator is overcharging it. A new battery will just burn up too unless you fix the overcharging.

the smell is coming from your battery or cat, to check if its the battery drive it for alittle while then feel the battery does it feel warm?

Take your car to your loacal Autozone and they will check your battery and chrging system for free. Check for those eggs or dead animals under the hood first :p

Been having the same issue every once in awhile, im going to stop by autozone to have them check my battery,
Do you think having a sound system in the car using power from the battery could be a part of this?

No, Im going to put money down and say its your cat.
