Rubbing noise....front wheel area ?

Hi guys.

Little issue here, looking for suggestions/ideas ?

My 2000 ex coupe has been stored in my garage all winter and I just pulled her out today.

Took her for a test drive today (5-6 miles)and noticed a sound coming from the front drivers side wheel area.

Hard to tell if the noise is there at higher speeds, but as I am coming to a stop (brake pedal pressed or coasting in neutral) I am hearing a rubbing noise. I am guessing maybe a sticky brake pad against the rotor ?

She was "not" making this noise when I put her away last December....just find it odd all of a sudden after sitting for months.

Thanks

Is the car lowered? Just wondering. If it is during braking, definitely take it apart and have a gander at the brake set up. New pads are easy to toss on if needed.

Check for rust on the rotors. The areas where the pads touch should be shiny bare metal. (Other places will be badly rusted, but that's normal). If you have a "ring of rust" in the active area, this seriously affects the braking performance.

Also you may want to drive past someone listening outside the car to be more sure where the noise is coming from.

The car is 100% stock.

I did notice surface rust on the rotors before i took it for a drive (normal after sitting for months) but after I came home and took it apart, the surface rust was gone.

The inner pad was alittle difficult to remove while the outer one came out easier...if this matters.
