rubbing noise when accelerating on 94 civic

Sounds like the noise is coming from the rear passenger wheel. Like i said the sound changes as you accelerate. Its like a rubbing, humming sound. Its not a clunking sound. Would it be a brake or a wheel bearing problem? bearings hard to replace?

Thanks so much!

Sounds like the rear brake may be dragging. Put the rear end on jacks and then try to spin the wheel by hand. Next pull the wheel off to inspect. You may need to loosen the brake mechanism using the star adjuster to get the drum off.

if it sounds like a humming sound, then it is mostly likely your wheel bearing. I know the fronts are a bitch to change, i'm not sure for the backs though.

Is it difficult to spin the wheel by hand? Pull the wheel off and check whether the brake caliper is stuck and dragging. If the brakes are fine, then it might be the bearing.
