Running synthetic oil...........
I have 20,000 miles on my 2004 Civic EX and am wondering if it is worth it for me to switch to Mobile-1. I already bought the oil, but not sure if I should bother. I ran synthetic on my Tacoma because I live in AK and figured it would help in the winter. The problem is is I have another vehicle that is my daily driver and come this winter my civic will mostly sit. So is it even worth it especially since I change the oil at 3,000 miles anyways. Thanks,
Dave

I only got into Hondas last year. I have read an ungoddly amount about them. Post after post learning what to do and what not to do. From what I have read from people that seemed to know what they were talking about Synth is better all around for our little Hondas. Now based on that fact alone, wouldn't it be better to go ahead and start using synth oil as soo as your get the car? I could be wrong, however prevention is prevention.
Don't use synthetic oil. I don't, and I run 5W30 oil as recommended, and my eg runs fine.
Pennzoil synthetic is better than Mobil 1.
If you use synthetic DO NOT use it during the engine break in period.
