Short Ram

Ive got a question for everyone. This is my first post by the way, I have an 02 EX 4dr.

Question: I'm planning on doing some bolt on Mods, starting with a Short Ram intake. Can putting the short ram sqrew anything up with a mass airflow sensor, is there any risk of engine damage with a short ram without having to reset the computer parameters. And is it really worth putting the short ram.. I'm not planning on putting any forced induction mods, but dont want to put a CAI since I live in Miami, and we get flooded here all the time during hurricane season.

Thanks guys,

-John

RE: Short Ram

its a real simple install just be careful with the mass airflow sensor and you'll be good. and it'll be better if you reset your ecu ..by disconnecting the neg from your battery for like 5 mins or so and when you turn your car on leave it alone intill it idles and you'll be good. and horsepower wise you might get 5-7 ponies. the good thing about the sri is that it'll make your car sound like a monster lol but ya i think thats all. the sri is definaly worth it. i think you'll like it !:D

RE: Short Ram

thanks.

is the mass airflow sensor programmed specifically for the stock intake. i guess that was my question, if it could maybe cause a screw up in the fuel mixture. and would the sri be less efficient since its so close to the engine block?
