Yeh, I see what you mean......hard to find a short shifter for 2001 and up Civics.

I tried eBay for you, but come up empty.

This is the one I got. The throw is shorter but the shifter length doesn't change.

You could try this place Short throw lever. Dunno the quality of the lever and you should be able to use it with an adapter for even shorter throw.

That's just a short shift adaptor, not a short throw shifter.

whichever way you go just make sure the shifter itself is steel or stainless steel. i bought an aluminum one even though i heard a couple people say they broke theirs and mine broke too. i fixed mine by making more threads where it broke and put my normal shift **** back on and i still like it just fine but it was a pain in the @$$

As far as I know, the DC short shift adapter accomplishes the same thing as getting an actual short throw shifter. I have the DC adapter on my 05 and it feels pretty good...plus it's pretty cheap and extremely easy to install.

I have a DC adapter on my 02 and it shortened the throw but not by much, say 25% less throw. Now if you put a short throw shifter AND an adapter it should shorten it to like 50-55%. Thats what I'm looking for that real short shift through all the gears without moving my arm only my wrist.
