Slow acceleration
Hey guys,
I'm sorry if someone else has had this problem and I didn't search thoroughly enough, but my problem is kind of urgent.
I was recently in a wreck, and afterwards I started having a problem with slow acceleration. My (automatic) transmission now switches gears 1500 rpm higher than it used to, engine has a much deeper noise under (VERY slow) acceleration to it than it used to, and my MAP sensor reads 8 (psi?) when it is actually 19, what it's supposed to be. I have no CEL/MIL, and the sensor has been checked out and been ok'd.
Thanks in advance for the help,
Salami

It was t-boned on the front passenger side right at the door hinge, so I don't believe the exhaust system was inflicted.
I believe the transmission fluid was checked, as well as the CEL. I brought it back to the shop that repaired it after the wreck and they didn't seem to have a clue.

The automatic is designed to shift late when the gas pedal is floored. If you're having to floor the gas all the time to make the car go anywhere, expect it to shift late.
Sudden decrease in performance like this can be a skipped timing belt.
