1992 Civic. Just got my smog test done, didnt pass, they had to mess with it to pass the car....now it runs sluggish....feels flooded.

what all do these people adjust to get us to pass? car feels crappy and i want it back to its polluting norm!

They adjusted your timing to make it pass. They did this crap all the time to my Camry back in the day. Take it your regular mechanic and tell him the scenario, they'll know how to adjust it for more power.
