RE: SMOG test failed
what did you fail on ?

RE: SMOG test failed
its the cat.... u have to have like a stock one that actually does what it is supposed to,not just for performance....just put a stock cat back on for the test and then change it back after you pass

RE: SMOG test failed
thanks for your repsonse..well the guy who did smog said the O2 sensor supposed to be one in front of the cat and the other one back of the cat where as in my xase both the sensors are i guess infront of the cat. I dont have a stock cat, the reason being is my old cat life was over and i had to replace the cat and the stock cat costed me way over than the performance cat. is there any way i could pass my test with the current setup w/o doing any change..?
thanks for your help |
RE: SMOG test failed
It's failing because at the very least, it is obviously modified. I think you'd need to have the second sensor after the cat or it's going to set the CEL. Maybe if it looks right and the stuff coming out of the cat satisfies the sensor so the light stays off, it'll pass.
