Default Snapped Antenna...Replace

Someone snapped my antenna on my 97 coupe. I got the stuff to replace it, but there is a wire that connects to the back of the radio from the antenna... I have a stock radio. How do i get the wire to the radio... any diagrams or help would be great

Can you reuse the existing antenna cable rather than reroute new cable?

I don’t think you need to remove the radio. I saw the antenna wire stopped near the fuse box and it was plugged into another wire that runs all the way to the radio. Check that out before you remove the radio because you may end up saving some time.

Next time, do not pull out the old one out until you tie a thin string to old lead. That way you can tie the string to the new leadand pull her back in the pillar.

It cant be any clearer than this. If you don't get it you have some problems. You don't need pictures to get his point.

If you pulled the old wire out you are in a pickle. Take a stiff wire like a straightened coat hanger and push it down then find the end under the dash. Then tape a string to the end of the wire and pull it up to the hole in the roof. Use the string to pull down the cable for the new antenna.
