Default So I know this forum is for Civics but...

...so far I've had good luck on this forum.

Here's the deal! My wife drives a '94 Accord and I need to replace the battery cable for the + terminal. I think this is called a starter cable, is that correct?

Question I have is, how difficult is this to replace and is there anything that I need to do before connecting it (i.e. Disconnect the battery, yadda yadda)?

Please advise.

Please excuse the ignorance. I'm a noob.

Positive battery cable. If it's like a Civic it probably has a branch in it with a big wire going to the starter and a smaller one to the underhood fuse box. Buy one from a dealer, it'll be a lot cleaner install than the universal fit ones sold at parts stores.

Try www.hondaaccordforum.com - you might even see some familiar names...

But you've already got the right answer here. I don't know exactly how the (+) battery cable branches on a '94 but it probably has to go to the starter and to the fusebox.

Once you've disconnected the (-) battery cable, you're safe to work on the (+) cable without worrying about shorting stuff out with your wrench.
