So i went to Advanced and had a key made only to find out the key will open the door turn the ignition but will just spudder and not turn over. Whats the deal with that? Does the 02 Ex have a chip in the key?

 

It sounds like you have an immobolizer, so if you want another key you will have to get one from Honda. Get your check book out.

 

..........figures. Anything to make a little extra money. Doesn't make sense to only have one damn key and you cant start it with a spare. It's not like somone is going to steal your key make a spare and then steal your car. The alarm would stop everything from happening.

 

^ it has most likely happened, if someone you know wanted the car bad enough they could do that... a couple of coworkers were going to do that as a joke on a friend, when they were working we were goiing to take their car key, go out on break and get it coppied, then randomly move their car when they were at work
