i just fixed my clutch on my 2000 si and when i got my car back my temperature marker doesnt go up...i didn't notice it because it's always really low and gradually marks the temperature as the car warms up..

Did you disconnect anything when you did the clutch replacement?

You need to call the dealer and inform them.

There's a plug on the sender which is screwed into the engine below the distributor. It's possible the transmission bumped into it during the clutch job. But it would be simplest just to take it back to the dealer.

The gauge should come up to the normal range of about halfway within a rew miles of driving, and stay steady there. If not the thermostat may be stuck open, which is bad for your engine. But first get it back working the way it did before the clutch job.

Seriously, do not touch anything under the hood. Call the dealership, tell them what is wrong and have them fix it. If you tamper with anything they're just going to say it's your own fault.

Certainly don't admit that you touched anything under the hood. If the sender did get hit hard enough to knock the plug off, they probably broke it anyway.
