First off, I apologize in advance if I'm posting this in the wrong category; this is my first post here at the Honda Civic forums.

I found a 1996 Honda Civic hatchback for sale and I had a couple quick questions.

1) A question regarding the stock interior:



^ Blue is for the wires, red is for the items I'm wondering about.
Obviously the radio is not stock, and it looks like the wire is for that.
But the button to the left of the steering wheel... what is that? The fact it doesn't match the rest of the dash makes me think it was added later...

2) Were fog lights a stock option?



3) Are these wheels a stock option as well?

Ok the switch is a fog light switch. look at the fog lights see if they are screwed to the bumper. They look aftermarket to me.

 

now that wire. I dont have a clue what that is for. See if it gos to the fuse box. Or is it the same wire running that far. If it is start at the end by the radio. Fish it back throw the dash dont cut it we dont no if there is somthing else hooked up to that wire. If there is nuthing else hooked up to just unhook it from the fuse box and you are good to go.

 

They are not the stock wheels for your are. They 95-97 del sol stock wheels. 93-97 Honda Del_Sol Factory Wheels from Capital Wheels at Andy's Auto Sport . Go to the link the 3rd one down are your rims.

 

It almost looks like they took a Honda Foglight kit for a 99-00 and made it work for your year. That's the same switch I have, but it fits correctly on mine.

I dont understand where the wire that comes out by the radio goes... looks shady!

Yeah, it does look a little shady. It's a non-issue though; the car sold within 24-hours of it being posted on Craigslist
