throttle valve

my mates civic wont run idle , it just cuts out, its very hard to drive the car more than 30 ft. the air instake throttle is opening fully and i need to know wot i need to check

i mean that the throttle valve is worknig occasionally, i tried disconnecting the EACV and resetting it , but still no joy.

Check the spark to and from the distributor, and check for fuel pressure.
