Ok so what are the best plugs one can use. i already have to buy alot of expensive things to do this so i am going to go all out onit. i have to buy a MSD Distributor cap and rotor button, Blaster 2 coil w/ extrra wire, and MSD 8.5mm wireS.
SO i need to know, WHAT ARE THE BEST PLUGS ONE CAN USE?
i currently have NGK iridiums.
I have a 95 D16y8.
so tell me what do you use?
what do you like?
and what do you reccomend?
does MSD make plugs?

 

I use NGK iridiums thats just me though I never had any probs with NGK but Im not sure if msd makes plugs

 

ngk's are the oem honda plug, and the iridiums work great

 

yes, use NGK on honda, THats it. I own a turbod honda and guess what plugs i use?.............N G K

 

funny u all say ngk i use bosch platinum 2s.. ive never had a problem before in my life.. then again im driving a daily driver...well.. was.. but all my vechiles have them.. even my minivans.. they are the best daily driver/performance plugs i have found... and the best part i like...no gapping!!!

 

I'm all about NGK. I stay away from platinum yes they are ok for a n/a daily driver but they burn hotter. I would go with NGK because they are the stock plug and they work fine they may not work as long as a platinum but com on plugs are cheep also gaping your plugs is easy only takes about 20 seconds each.

 

yea i know gappin is easy.. i carry a gapper with me on my key ring.. i guess that i just like the bit of better performance they put out being platinums

even though u say common plugs are cheap.. ur only replacing them every what.. 5k miles?... think of all that money thats going in to buying maybe 2 sets of ngks by then... i dunno... i just like bosch... theres a civic hatchy around here that has a bigggg ngk sticker on his car.. i soo wanna go ask him if he had to buy it extra from the spark plug set

 

What upgrades do you have? Unless you have some reason for needing a better spark (big cam, rich on top end or turbo added) you don't need to spend 85 dollars for your wires and 4 dollars for each spark plug. They will give you about .2 horsepower.

well i already have all of the MSD ignition stuff on there. it came with the car when i bought it. I have a MSD blaster 2 external coil. MSD 8.5m wires NGK iridium, MSD rotor, MSD cap. so im just going to replace what is already on there. that **** is expensive.
i did a tune up on my old car. it costed a total of 50 bucks for it. For me to replace everything with what s already on there. it will cost nearly 200 dollars.
