timing belt change

how hard is it to change the timing belt on a 00 civic? what tools r required?

Your main concern would be removing the crank pulley bolt, other than that, your basic tool would do fine.

There are marks inside to set the crank to TDC to install the belt, you don't need the one on the pulley. The group of three together are used to set the spark timing, which should always be done after changing the timing belt. After the bolt is out, when pulling the pulley off be careful not to lose the little metal key.
