Trans fluid flush
I just got a trans fluid flush on my 2010 Civic and it cost $200. He said he used full synthetic fluid which Honda recommends. There is also a $27 part charge for BG TRANS FLUSH. What is that? The labour was $64, and the fluid (15qt) was 109.05 (7.27/qt). Was this a reasonable price?
I have read online that labour is more if they take off the base pan instead of using a flushing machine, and that taking off the pan is the better way to do it. I'm assuming for $64 that they took off the pan. Would you say this is right? (The other charges were $30 for an oil change and $25 for a tire rotation.) Thoughts are appreciated. Thanks. |
The price of the fluid and the amount of fluid seems right. For an automatic. You need to specify what you have. Ask them what the BG TRANS FLUSH is. I don't see a problem with that question.
